At Assist International, our mission is to empower our in-country partners with the tools, resources, and opportunities that build community resilience. Over 90% of orphaned and vulnerable children in the world live in low and middle-income countries. These children are orphaned from things like HIV/AIDS and armed conflict, and many suffer from hunger, malnutrition, and lack of education. Assist International believes that every child deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, productive life. There is nothing more life-changing than providing a child with a family and an education. We come alongside our in-country partners to care for orphaned and vulnerable children by developing family-style orphan villages, providing the love they need to thrive, the assurance of life’s basic necessities, and access to education. Since 1990, the needs of vulnerable children have always been the center of our mission. For over 30 years, we’ve been on the front lines, building orphan homes and schools, and meeting the needs of suffering children worldwide.
